Cat-eye nails tutorialCat-eye nails in 5 steps
The autumn version. Easier than it looks, I promise.
Okay. Cat-eye nails look complicated, especially if you're new to nail art, but they're so much easier than you think. So let me break it down for you.
The whole trick is the polish. Magnetic polish has tiny metallic particles in it, and when you hold a magnet over a wet coat they line up into that band of light, like a cat's eye. That's it. No freehand, no steady-hand talent required.
Do a base coat, then two thin coats of the magnetic polish. While it's still wet, hold the magnet close. Tilt it diagonally if you want a softer, more diffused line. Let it set, then finish with a glossy top coat. For autumn, go dark: plum, espresso or a deep green look like velvet instead of glitter.
Your first hand will be a little wobbly. By the second, you'll be showing everyone.
